Last updated: October 18, 2026
- Website use. These terms govern access to and use of the LawAid Inc. website.
- Acceptance. By using the website, you agree to use it lawfully and in accordance with these terms.
- No engagement by browsing. Viewing the website or submitting a general enquiry does not itself create a service engagement or professional relationship.
- Enquiry process. An enquiry is a request to discuss requirements and is not an accepted instruction or binding offer.
- Written agreement. A service engagement begins only when authorized representatives agree the applicable scope and terms in writing.
- Contracting entity. The written engagement should identify the contracting entity, responsible contacts, service scope and applicable terms.
- Service descriptions. Website descriptions summarize possible support and do not guarantee that every service is available for every matter.
- Scope. Deliverables, exclusions, assumptions, review duties and client responsibilities are defined for each engagement.
- Pricing. Prices displayed on the website are indicative starting points unless a written offer expressly states otherwise.
- Quotes. A quote may depend on volume, complexity, urgency, jurisdiction, required expertise, turnaround and agreed service levels.
- Currency and taxes. The applicable currency, taxes, bank charges and third-party costs should be stated in the relevant written proposal or agreement.
- Payment. Payment terms, due dates and accepted payment methods are governed by the applicable written agreement.
- Suspension for non-payment. Work may be paused for overdue undisputed amounts where the agreement and applicable law permit.
- Client instructions. Clients must provide clear, complete and timely instructions and identify any important deadline or procedural requirement.
- Client materials. Clients are responsible for ensuring they have the right to provide documents, data and instructions to the service team.
- Accuracy of inputs. Clients should review the accuracy and completeness of the information they supply and promptly correct material errors.
- Deadlines. Deadlines must be expressly communicated and accepted; third-party responses and late instructions may affect delivery.
- Client review. Unless a written agreement states otherwise, the client is responsible for reviewing deliverables and approving their use.
- Legal judgment. Legal strategy, professional judgment and decisions reserved to licensed practitioners remain with the responsible lawyer.
- Representation. LawAid does not act as counsel of record or appear in court unless a separate written arrangement expressly provides otherwise and the law permits it.
- No outcome guarantee. No legal, financial, settlement, litigation or business outcome is guaranteed.
- Confidentiality. Each party must protect confidential information in accordance with applicable law and any signed confidentiality or service agreement.
- Data protection. Personal information is handled under applicable privacy requirements and any agreed data-processing terms.
- Secure channels. Sensitive, privileged or highly confidential materials should be sent only through a channel approved for that purpose.
- Prohibited material. Users must not submit unlawful content, malicious code or materials they are not authorized to share.
- Acceptable use. Users must not damage, disrupt, probe or attempt unauthorized access to the website or its infrastructure.
- Automated access. Scraping, abusive traffic, automated harvesting or other activity that harms availability or security may be restricted.
- Intellectual property. Website text, layout, graphics, branding and original materials are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.
- Limited viewing permission. You may view and use website content for personal or internal business evaluation, subject to these terms and applicable law.
- No unauthorized reproduction. You may not commercially reproduce, republish or exploit protected materials without permission, except as permitted by law.
- Client materials. Clients retain rights in materials they provide, subject to the limited permissions needed to assess and perform an agreed service.
- Third-party services. Third-party software, platforms and websites remain subject to their own terms and privacy practices.
- External links. A link to an external resource is provided for convenience and does not by itself imply endorsement.
- Content accuracy. We aim to keep website information useful, but content may change and is not warranted to be complete or error-free at all times.
- Changes to the site. We may modify, suspend or remove website content or features for operational, security or legal reasons.
- Availability. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access to the website or that every feature will be available on every device or browser.
- Disclaimers. The website is provided for general information; specific services are governed by the relevant written engagement.
- Liability. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that applicable law does not allow to be excluded or limited.
- Agreement-specific limits. Any valid liability cap, indemnity or allocation of risk must be set out in the applicable written agreement and remain subject to mandatory law.
- Events outside control. A party is not responsible for delay caused by events beyond its reasonable control to the extent permitted by law and the applicable agreement.
- Severability. If a provision is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.
- No waiver. A failure to enforce a provision on one occasion does not waive the right to enforce it later.
- Assignment. Neither party may assign a service agreement except as permitted by that agreement or applicable law.
- Independent relationship. The nature of the working relationship and any agency or employment status are governed by the written agreement and applicable law.
- Governing law. The governing law and dispute-resolution process for a service engagement should be specified in its written agreement.
